Vision and Mission of the College

To emerge as an inclusive, student‑centric institution of higher education that empowers socially and economically weaker section of youth—especially women—through quality education in Arts and Commerce, fostering academic excellence, ethical values, employability, and responsible citizenship for sustainable regional development.

Mission

1. Access and Equity: To provide affordable, equitable, and inclusive higher education to students from economically weaker sections and rural backgrounds, with special emphasis on women’s education, having the high enrolment of girl students in our institution.

2. Quality Teaching–Learning: To deliver effective teaching and learning in Arts and Commerce streams through learner‑centric pedagogy, continuous academic support, mentoring, and the judicious use of available resources.

3. Student Support and Success: To strengthen academic progression, skill development, and career readiness of a modest student cohort through counseling, remedial teaching, value‑added courses, and co‑curricular activities.

4. Institutional Development: To gradually upgrade and maintain the existing, repairable infrastructure and learning facilities, ensuring a safe, accessible, and conducive academic environment.

5. Capacity Building: To work towards the creation and strengthening of teaching and non‑teaching positions while optimally utilizing existing human resources to ensure smooth academic and administrative functioning.

6. Values and Ethics: To inculcate constitutional values, social responsibility, gender sensitivity, environmental awareness and ethical conduct among students.

7. Community Engagement: To engage with the local community through extension and outreach activities that promotes social awareness, lifelong learning and regional upliftment.

8. Governance and Accountability: To ensure transparent, participatory, and accountable institutional governance aligned with the policies and priorities of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
